Hi. If you are a home sewer who loves a new stack of patterns to mull over, head to your nearest Spotlight store before the 20th January '12. They are selling all patterns (McCall's, Butterick, Vogue, Kwik Sew, Burda, Simplicity and New Look) for half price. Now that is a bargain!

If you are after a classic shirt pattern, here is a sample of what is on offer:
Vogue 8772 - (see photo) semi fitted shirt using darts front and back to create shape; 4 sleeve lengths; 2 shirt lengths; standard collar or floppy bow. Good for most body shapes except very full tummies.
Vogue 8689 - semi fitted shirt with princess line detailing; front and back yokes; 3 sleeve lengths; flat or shaped hems. Has the option of breast pockets which is flattering for those ladies who wear a bra cup size A-C's.
Butterick 5747 - shaped collared shirt with princess seams on the front and darted back; yoked back; 3 sleeve variations; option of ruching at bust or breast pockets; sizes 18+
Butterick 5365 - loose fit collared shirt can be worn buttoned to neck or left open; 2 sleeve variations; straight hems; either tucks from shoulder seam or darts from neckline. Designed for fluid fabrics.
